The true role of computer vision and robotics in developing countries turns to be related to the needs and peculiarities of the society in this country.  In this regard as a roboticist, I coined the name for the adequate research activity as Social Robotics, but in a meaning different to the social robotics which encompasses the works in order to build robots able to socialize with humans. In contrast, I mean with social robotics, intelligent machines which are helpful to face the  issues related to environment, health, water and agriculture, war consequences as mines, earthquakes, fires etc.  My idea is to use low cost technology together with advanced mathematics (free cost) to build robots and intelligent machines helpful for such countries. As a geometric cyberneticists,  I apply Clifford geometric algebra to develop algorithms for perception action systems which are extremely efficient and are used for low cost robots. In this lecture I will present   interesting projects of social robotics some of them derived of results of research in  humanoid robotics.
